November 10-12, 2011 – Veterans Day Observance – All weekend, visitors will be able to view thousands of military items dating back to the Civil War at the military display. The observance program on Nov. 11, 7:30 p.m., includes comments from Minnesota National Guard Blackhawk pilot Captain Andrea Bond. On Nov. 12, noon, a special program to recognize a Vietnam veteran, who will be receiving the Silver Star for actions in combat after 42 years. November 11, 2011 – Military Appreciation Dinner – Veterans and a guest invited for dinner, an evening of camaraderie with fellow Veterans from 6-9 pm. November 11, 2011 – White Bear Lake Veteran’s Day Observance – 2 pm at St. John in the Wilderness Cemetery. December 10, 2011 – All Out Ink Tattoo & Body Piercing “Toys for Tattoos” -  The 1st of what hopefully becomes an annual event. Here is how it works: 100% of tattoo proceeds go to the Toys for Tots foundation and if you bring in a toy or toys with the receipts, they will take that off your tattoo. No child should go without toys at Christmas. This is a great charity run by the US Marines, so let’s all pitch in and help the children. They will be open from 11am to 10pm.
